“Ease on down the road” : Yesterday was a huge day for my best friend @Brohogany. After a beautiful month together, Andre’ packed his bags and moved to Brazil. Our time together was sacred, it was the first time the two of us were together in New York as graduates. We both felt the transition. Andre’ has always been more than a friend to me, the first time I saw him I knew he was something unique and untouchable. He has an enormous heart that oozes out of every pore of his strong, dark and lived body. He promotes health, happiness and appreciation. Values, that often get lost in this ever changing world. I believe the greatest challenge is to maintain pure love for oneself. Everything that surrounds us, tries to convince us that we are less than or that we are missing things. Andre’ after surviving cancer made a vow to himself to live everyday with excitement and passion. A choice that all the world can now see. He is not only an inspiration to me, but to everyone I see him speak to. It’s his spirit that is inescapable. His devotion to following his dreams and desires is something that should not be taken lightly. He really lives life believing that a will is the only way. I am so proud of him and his accomplishments and cannot wait to see what he will do in Brazil. He has only been there for 6 months prior and is practically fluent in Portuguese. Brazil is the perfect place for him because he can truly be happy. He believes in the distant thoughts we all have in the back of our heads and follows them. He wants to experience nature, culture and people that celebrate love and acceptance. That belief continues to allow him to have a life full of true adventures and unforgettable experiences.

Andre’: Our tears at the airport said it all. I can only smile when I think about this past month. I will miss waking up with you, samba dancing and eventually making it outside to walk Dewey. I will miss Cheeky’s, Mexicue, and ALL of the delicious food we ate. There is nothing like talking about life with you, you have left me stronger and I will continue to bring you with me, with everything that I do. YOU ARE MY SOULMATE! House of Jillandre’ forever! Go get em FIREBIRD! xx
